Welcome, and thank you for looking at my profile! My name is Sharlene Hanaway, and I have been a Marriage and Family Therapist for many years. I love helping people. Therapy is a journey you are on, but I am right there beside you. It is very rewarding and fulfilling work, for both of us,while getting you to where you are living the life you want! Through understanding, compassion, humor, and in a relaxed manner, we explore those things you need to let go of and change the circumstances of your life that may be impeding your process. When someone asks me about my Theorectical Orientation, I always say, “I meet the needs of my client first and foremost”. That said, I tend to be a Cognitive Behavioral therapist with a healthy does of Mindfulness in play. I also do Family Systems Therapy and Dialetctical Behavior Therapy. I do not profess to be a “One kind fits All” therapist; I always tailor therapy to meet your needs. I hope this gives you an understanding of who I am as a therapist.
