About

Welcome! You are taking one of the hardest steps to improving your mental health, you have started the search for a counselor. I want to congratulate you for taking the first step, wish you luck with your mental health, and hope that you find what you are looking for. As a client focused therapist I work with each of my clients to develop treatment goals on an individual basis. Building a therapeutic relationship requires authenticity, communication, trust, commitment, and respect. Together we will create a plan to make your counseling experience exactly what you are looking for. My professional background includes working in residential treatment, K-12 education, and non-profit mental health agencies. I have provided therapy for children, adolescents, adults, groups, families, and LGBTQ+. As a therapist I come from a person centered, strength based, empowering perspective and my goal is to meet every client where they are at that moment. My experience includes trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, self-esteem, and life transitions. If you are unsure exactly what brought you to therapy, we can process that during your therapy as well. I incorporate techniques from Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, Existential Therapy, Eco Psychology, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Positive Psychology, and Strength-Based Therapy. As a Colorado native I enjoy anything outdoors, especially if it involves being with my family and animals. Creating a relationship with a therapist can be a daunting and scary task, remember you have taken the first step and as therapy progresses, it does become easier. Change can be scary but growth is something that can not occur without change. If you would like to see if we are a good fit or if you have any questions feel free to reach out and we can take things at whatever pace you feel comfortable with.
