Welcome! My name is Shar’dae Lewis and I am a Licensed Professional Counseling in the state of Oklahoma. I have over 8 years of working in the mental health community. I have worked in several settings including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, office-setting, in-home, and telehealth. I have worked with patients at different levels of care which has helped me enhance my clinical knowledge for a broad range of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with complex trauma (domestic violence including physical abuse and emotional abuse, spiritual abuse, sexual assault, and other types of abuse), eating disorders, body image challenges, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, life transitions, divorce / separation, multicultural challenges, and racial trauma. I have an extensive history of working with individuals and families.
My counseling style is supportive, empathetic, and interactive. I believe that counseling should be in a space that is peaceful, non-judgmental, encouraging, compassionate, and respectful. I utilize person-centered, eye-movement desensitization reprocessing, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and integrative approach in treatment. I will tailor treatment based upon your unique set of needs. I will be sensitive to how your cultural identities impact your experiences. I believe in assisting my clients with communicating their needs in relationships and establishing healthy boundaries within relationships. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and it requires working together to achieve the goals that you have for yourself. I provide trauma-informed care, a safe space free from judgement, and a place that promotes healing. I would be happy to assist you along your healing journey.
