My name is Shaquita Mallett and I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in Mississippi. I am trained in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma informed care and I am a certified trainer for managing aggressive behaviors. I have 14 years of experience in the mental health field and 9 years working as a therapist with children, adolescents, and families. My experience includes working with individuals with a range of challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, anger, self-esteem, ADHD, parenting and coping with life changes. My goal in therapy is to work with my clients and assist them with identifying what they would like to work on and what they would like to accomplish and help them develop a road map to help accomplish their goals. My goal is to also help my clients learn healthier ways of coping and dealing with challenges and walk with and encourage them along the way to help them overcome any barriers they face. I am compassionate and believe in treating my clients with dignity and respect. Some of my therapeutic techniques include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and strength-based approaches.
I truly enjoy helping make a difference in the lives of others and I do not take it lightly when I am given the honor and privilege of working with my clients during the most difficult or challenging time of their life. It is my goal to assist my clients in overcoming any challenge or barrier they are faced with so that they can have the life they desire. It gives me great joy to see my clients gain or regain their confidence, power, strength, joy and hope.
