My name is Shantise Fields, and I have a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, a Minor in Africana Studies, and Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. I am a licensed practitioner through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and is the primary therapist for Speak truth Therapeutic Services, “A Trauma Informed-Christian Based Practice” , a thriving private practice located in Harbor City, California. I have over 21 plus years of experience in the mental health field working in direct care and supervisory positions providing services to “High Risk/High Need” teens, adolescents, young adults, and their families. I have worked with Legal Entities, Community Based Agencies, Non-Profits, Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Family Services, Probation, and Short-Term Rehabilitation Treatment Programs. I also have training and expertise in the following areas; Christian Counseling, Teen Counseling, various Evidence Based Practices, CSEC Population, Trauma-Informed Care Practices, Cultural Competency, Education Rights, PBIS, Collaborative Practices & Solutions, and a plethora of extended tools gained in her school and work experiences. I am an accomplished woman in the field of mental health in Los Angeles County however, I am most proud of the work I have done in providing Trauma Informed Care to children, tweens, teens, and their families and the community at large through her work with African American Advisory Board for Districts Attorneys office and Project Peace.
