About

My goal in providing counseling/therapy services is to assist you in reaching your ideal version of yourself. I am honored to assist you on your personal life journey. I believe that everyone holds the potential within themselves to reach their ideal, and I love helping unlock the potential through skills and knowledge. JK Rowling said “We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all of the power we need inside ourselves already”. I look forward to helping every person discover their power.

I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Empire State College and my Master’s Degree in Social Work at The State University of New York at Brockport and Nazareth College. I have worked in assisting individuals for eleven years in a variety of settings, including mental health clinics, hospitals, care management programs, and private practice.

I provide trauma-informed care through a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I fully understand that life can be complex and overwhelming, and I enjoy assisting individuals in simplifying life and building skills that will not only help with current stressors, but will be useful throughout life. Therapy doesn’t last forever, but the skills should.

I have experience working with a variety of disorders, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, substance abuse disorders, anger, and gender identity disorders. I have additional training to provide services to members of the LBGTQ+ community, including WPATH certification (in process) and I am a Safe Zone Trainer.

Accreditations:
LCSW, certified in New York
Safe Zone Trainer
WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) Certified Provider (in process)
National Association of Social Workers Member
Trained Forensic Consultation/Evaluation Therapist
Narcan Administration Training

About Me:
I have three children (one girl, two boys), five bonus children, two dogs, and one cat. I enjoy Geocaching and knitting (although I have only been knitting for a few years). I love to read, and I am a huge Harry Potter Nerd! I also participate in wind therapy whenever the weather cooperates.

I look forward to working with you in a safe and non-judgmental space!
