My life was impacted by a therapist many years ago and this experience led me to turn my former pain into a passion to help others on their journeys toward wellness. I earned a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California in 2013. Post-graduation, I worked toward diversifying my portfolio and knowledge base by working with varying populations, which included, but has not been limited to, foster care youth, victims of human trafficking, adolescents, parenting teens, young adults, married couples, families, and women. I've worked as the Head of Service and Lead Therapeutic Social Worker for a Short-Term Residential Treatment Program that housed parenting and non-parenting teenage girls. My practice knowledge has afforded me the opportunity to manage teams of fellow mental health professionals. I facilitate specialized group therapy sessions with adolescents, couples, women and families. I am an educator and align with my clients to aid them in identifying the steps necessary to achieve their targeted goals. Additionally, I am a Certified Anger Management Specialist-II (CAMS-II) who facilitates both group and individual anger management sessions for voluntary and court-ordered clients. I genuinely care for my clients and become vested in their journeys toward wellness.
