About

I am a LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) in Washington state. My career has been dedicated to those with chronic, life-limiting illnesses and with this population I have had the privilege of working with individuals from many backgrounds and identities. My designation as a social worker affords me the expertise to provide not only mental health counseling but real resources for real-life issues that can often get in the way of emotional healing.

As a Black American female, I am painfully aware of the shortage of mental health professionals in the BIPOC community. I am here on Find A Therapist to expand my services to better meet this need. I am EMDR trained and am in the process of becoming certified in EMDR therapy. My specialty is working with those who have experienced trauma and since that is 70% of Americans, I seek everyday to bear witness to another's pain and promote healing. In addition to EMDR, I utilize attachment, CBT and narrative therapies in my practice. We will work together to determine the approach that is best for your healing.
