Hello, my name is Sha'Miya Williams, I hold a Masters's in clinical social work with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have clinical experience working in inpatient psychiatric hospital settings, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and community mental health. My experience within the individual, group, and family therapy has allowed me to support individuals from a variety of backgrounds and through all age groups that struggled with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, relationship stressors, and many other barriers that disrupt the path to stability and growth. I plan to use my clinical experience to help support the healing process of each individual I get the pleasure of working with. I offer a safe and welcoming environment that allows individuals to come as they are, nurture self-determination, and lead their own path of growth. I utilize an integrative and humanistic approach supplemented with evidence-based skills in CBT to center the unique experience and perspective of clients. My goal is to stay up to date with clinical research to continuously improve my knowledge and further support individuals through challenges they may come across because I understand that we are always evolving and pursuing change.
