I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. My specialty is in working with children, adolescents and young adults. My skill set involves a variety of techniques including play therapy and other creative arts. I believe that finding peace in the valley, or during our most challenging moments, allows for greater enjoyment of the mountaintop experiences in life. I am passionate about helping individuals of varying ages achieve peace in every situation, gaining insight and emotional wellness.

I have over 5 years of experience working in mental health. I have worked with a variety of clients and concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, life transitions, and self-esteem. I have also worked in a variety of settings including a university, a community service board, an elementary school and a crisis stabilization unit, providing me with unique experiences.

My counseling style is supportive and warm. I enjoy engaging in creative arts and activities. I am authentic in session and work with individuals to develop increased independence and openness to new experiences. I believe in treating everyone with dignity, respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Specifically, I provide a variety of techniques, ranging from play therapy modalities, bibliotherapy, creative arts work, mindfulness and person-centered talk therapy.
