About

Have you ever driven in heavy fog? If you have, we know that for some people it can be very uncomfortable. You become unsure about what lies ahead. The familiar no longer becomes the familiar and you struggle with navigating. You have been told to drive slow and if possible, pull over until the fog clear and things become more visible. In life we will have unexpected events. and those unexpected events can make it difficult for us to navigate our life through the thick fog. I am here to tell you that we will have many foggy days BUT we will also have sunny days.

Allow me to help you discover your solutions as you navigate through the most difficult and challenging times. One of my most favorite adages is "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime". This popular adage emphasizes the importance of teaching someone a skill rather than simply providing. My goal with my clients is to empower, motivate and teach you the necessary skills to live a healthier more fulfilling life.

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, coping with grief, loss, & and self-esteem issues. I also work with clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Exploring thoughts and feelings, practicing self-reflection, gaining greater self-acceptance, and learning ways to improve communication are techniques Brittany Burrus incorporates into therapy. She utilizes a combination of collaborative and integrative therapy to aid you on your journey.

Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
