Hello, my name is Shadae Roberson. I am a fully licensed social worker in the state of Michigan. I have a bachelors in Family and Child Ecology as well as a Masters in Social Work. I have been a social worker in the field for about 11 years. I am experienced in assisting in coping with trauma, grief, stress management, anxiety, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. It is important for us to not only explore the areas of difficulty but also the areas on strength in your life to build upon those.
My counseling style is client centered. I would consider myself compassionate, empathetic, and timely. The approaches that I often utilize are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Our sessions will be tailored to meet your treatment goals.
Beginning a therapy journey is very courageous and a huge step towards change. My hope is that your quality of life will increase and you will have an even more fulfilling and purposeful life.
