About
My name is Fatemeh Hashemi, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who has been providing behavioral health services in Southern California since 2007. I received my Bachelors in Art from California State University, Fullerton and my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Throughout my career as a LMFT, I have worked in a variety of settings such as outpatient clinics, private practice, and quality management roles. I have had the privilege of working with children, teens, families, couples, and individuals to address concerns such as parenting challenging behaviors, conflicts with significant others, depression, anxiety, trauma, etc. In addition, I’m bilingual in English and Farsi and have worked with clients from various cultural and religious backgrounds such as Middle Eastern, East Asian, Asian. In working with clients, I believe it is crucial to create a safe, judgement free, and nurturing environment that allows for open communication and collaboration to assist each client with meeting their treatment goals. For this to happen, I use a variety of treatment approaches such as, Client-Centered approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Solution Focused Therapy, etc. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I look forward to empowering and supporting you through your mental health journey!
