Greetings! Firstly, I want to thank you for looking at my profile to decide if my background and experience will best meet your needs. I am a licensed clinical social worker with ten years of experience providing therapy in rural and urban communities. I have experience in Infant Mental Health, Child Development, Caregiver supports, attachment, trauma, and relationship-focused services. My educational background is a Bachelor of Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago (2003 alumn) and New Mexico State University (2010 alumn). My career background was non-traditional in that I have been in different roles and responsibilities that have brought me to my current passion for being in the therapist role. I have been a case manager, administrator, policymaker, and clinical administrator. The treatment modalities that I use are Motivational Interviewing, Short-Term, Solution-Focused therapy, and relationship-focused/trauma-informed counseling. I look at creating a safe and authentic therapeutic relationship that is non-judgmental, with no shame and no blame. I have always let individuals know that you have a right to shop around when it comes to seeking out a therapist. I use the example of searching for a good hairdresser who will make sure they hear and see you meet your requests and needs. We always want to know who cares for something valuable to us and not let anyone provide services we do not fully trust.
