Hello, my name is Selena Lemons. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I am also a Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Master Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP). The philosophy I utilize is meeting the client where the client is. My job is to assist clients in developing healthy coping skills. I will also assist clients with managing, improving, and or eliminating symptoms. The style I utilize is a holistic style based on the client and the specific issues. The approaches utilized include Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma Focused (TF-CBT). I have experience providing educational trainings on mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. Experience includes working with inpatient, residential, outpatient, in-home, and telehealth clients. Additional experience working with teens, veterans, men, youth, families, adoption/foster care, elderly, pregnant/ post-partum women, domestic violence, high-risk populations, homeless population, substance abuse, mental health, and co-occurring clients.
