What should your client know about you? Hi and Welcome! My name is Sehnaz Zor, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in NJ. I have been a clinician for 19 years and fully licensed for 17. I have a BA in Psychology (1994), an MA in Psychological Counseling (2001), and a Certification in Professional Counseling (2003). I have worked in Partial Hospital and Outpatient settings, have extensive experience with individual and group therapy, and I have regularly provided couples, marriage/family therapy for many years. What is your approach to therapy? I have the most experience working with depression, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, career difficulties, relationship difficulties, isolation/loneliness, family conflicts, anxiety/stress, anger, communication issues, attachment issues, adjustment to life changes, and finding meaning and purpose in life. My counseling style combines person-centered, humanistic, positive psychology, CBT, strength-based, trauma-focused, reality, and solution-focused therapy. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? I offer a culturally sensitive approach, recognizing and appreciating each person's different and unique qualities. Respect, professionalism, empathy, and compassion towards each client I served have been the building blocks of my professional experience. I offer a professional, non-judgmental, fair, and gentle approach to bridging the gap between you and your loved one(s) to achieve more fulfilling relationships.
