Sehar Reshamwala is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. She received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University in 2018. Sehar has received extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and employs a mix of these approaches in her practice. In her spare time, Sehar enjoys catching up on the latest movies and TV shows, taking walks or spending time outdoors, reading, and finding new ways to entertain her toddler. Sehar's clinical experience includes depression, anxiety, managing stress, eating disorders, addictions, grief/loss, communication issues, relationship concerns, and poly/kink affirming therapy. Sehar has a special interest in trauma therapy - helping clients heal from their past to find safety, hope, and meaning in their present. She views therapy as a collaborative process between client and clinician to create meaningful change. She strives to create an environment where clients feel safe and heard, but also comfortable enough to challenge themselves to grow. You will work together to identify important goals, create an action plan, harness strengths, and overcome obstacles.
