I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas as well as a National Certified Counselor. I have over 7 years of experience as a licensed mental health clinician. Before I became a Licensed Professional Counselor I worked in the mental health field as bachelor level mental health professional.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, physical and emotional trauma, LGBTQ issues, relationship issues, parenting problems, anger management, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I have also worked directly with First Responders, Teachers, Social Workers, Medical Doctors, Fireman, and Police Officers to reduce the impact of trauma due to Natural Disasters.

My therapy style is Eclectic. First and Foremost, I treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I believe a positive therapeutic relationship is one where the client experiences empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard from the therapist. When working with me, you can expect an equal partnership to achieve your specific and unique goals.

I use elements form a variety of therapeutic modalities. Depending on your needs, I use techniques from Cognitive Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Mindfulness. I believe that a holistic approach to mental health is very important. Holistic approach to therapy is one that address the “whole” person. This kind of therapy integrates spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional forms of well-being.

As someone who understands the courage it can take to seek out support for mental health and well-being I do not take lightly the opportunity to work with you on this journey that we call life.
