I became a social worker because I enjoy helping people. A great passion of mine is to bring healing to people who have been through a stressful or traumatic experience and to assist them in identifying positive perceptions of self and form healthy relationships that propel them to live fulfilling lives. I have over 14 years of clinical experience and over 9 years of experience providing direct confidential, trauma-informed, individual, family and couples psychotherapy utilizing cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and psychodynamic treatment approaches. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma and/or emotional abuse.

I believe that the biggest indicator of success for a client is based on the healthy therapeutic relationship formed with the clinician. Furthermore, I know that there is no single approach or modality that is right for every individual, and I believe in treating the whole person. For this reason, I tailor treatment to meet each individual’s goals and treatment plan.

My over 12 years of clinical experience varies and includes time spent working with adults, children and families in therapeutic residential treatment centers, substance abuse, and co-occurring diagnosis treatment centers and behavioral health agencies, providing direct care, counseling, case management, and care coordination services.

My educational background includes a Bachelor's in Community Health Education from the University of Arizona and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I am currently licensed to practice independently in the state of Illinois.
