About
Results-oriented, compassionate, and behaviorally focused are strengths that I use to ensure the continuity of care for the population in which I work with. With a great background in a wide arrangement of mental health populations and disorders, my career has developed into being a well rounded clinician. The many areas that I have worked under the umbrella of mental health management include schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, explosive disruptive behaviors and anger management. I have worked with both victims and abusers, as well as provided crisis interventions to those presenting as suicidal. My experiences has lead me to provide services to adults, children and adolescents, both within the community and treatment facilities. This has given me a keen insight into handling such situations by analyzing all angles, and making critical decisions.
During the course of a career spanning over ten years, I have attained much experience in crises management in post-traumatic situations and criminal behavioral management. I have obtained full licensure of LPC, and have obtained my LCAS-Associate licensure. Ensuring individuals recognize problems, understand triggers and modify their behaviors is my prime focus with every person served. I believe in modeling the motivational interviewing style, to ensure each individual feels they are part of their treatment. I believe in maintaining meaningful relationships with the population served, as well as healthcare providers, so that the effectiveness of both types of medical intervention programs is optimal. To enhance my skills and knowledge, I am continuing my education by ascertaining a PhD in Forensic Psychology.
