Hello! I am an Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania who is skilled at treating substance use problems, PTSD, and anxiety, depression and mood problems. I work particularly well with clients who struggle with co-occuring mental health and substance abuse issues. I use Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients learn to tolerate difficult emotions and embrace self acceptance. I also use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients determine what is important to them and go after it.

Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, I began my career in the helping profession as a yoga teacher. I noticed that - through yoga (or mindfulness in movement) - many of my students were experiencing a catharsis - or healing. This led me to become interested in how mindfulness practices could aid in the treatment of trauma. Since earning my Masters degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, I have worked at several outpatient drug and alcohol programs. I have also worked in strictly mental health settings helping my clients with issues related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.

I have a passion for helping clients help themselves to succeed regardless of their struggles. I have been described as warm, friendly and non-judgmental with an approach of "unconditional positive regard" that bonds me to my clients and creates a lasting impact in their lives.
