It is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with you. My name is Sarah and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialty areas in Animal Assisted Social Work and Veterinary Social Work. I have been a social worker since 2004, so I have a broad range of experience from case management to emergency crisis services, and have been doing group and individual therapy as a clinical therapist for over 10 years. I’ve worked with young children through adults, and can help provide support as you navigate life issues, or even just be a sounding board when you are seeking a compassionate, non-judgmental listener.

My therapy dog may join us as a virtual partner on our journey as well! I have a special interest in the human-animal connection, and can provide support if you’ve lost or had to give up a companion animal in your life. I also enjoy working with issues around self-care and compassion fatigue for my clients who are employed in professions such as veterinary, animal care or healthcare, as I understand how we put our whole hearts in our work and caring professions come with challenges. Mindfulness and experiential therapy are some of my most used approaches. I love employing creativity in the healing process, and take a collaborative, resourceful, client-centered approach with each person whom I work with.
