I have 20 years of experience in social work with particular emphasis on trauma, personal empowerment and well-being. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker, (LICSW), in the District of Columbia. My approach leans on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but really, I will meet you where you are, and we can embark on this great journey of self-discovery together.
My approach is direct and nurturing, and I will follow your lead. By using warmth, humor and active listening, I hope to create a space that allows you to feel safe to work through your challenges. I received my MSW from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 2002 and spent the last twenty years working on enhancing the well-being of children and families in foster care. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults and young professionals.
