Hello and Welcome! I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). I have over ten years of experience and expertise in treating: anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and women's issues. My specialty is working with women during the perinatal period (the time during pregnancy up to 1 year postpartum) as well as perinatal grief and loss. I have a passion for helping new mothers cope with the transition to motherhood and successfully work through any challenges that may arise during the early years. As an avid maternal mental health advocate and mother myself, I understand the specific challenges women may encounter during this life stage. Not feeling like you "should" after a new baby? Experiencing scary or intrusive thoughts? Struggling with stress or mixed emotions during pregnancy? Difficulty adjusting to motherhood? Even though it can feel very isolating, you are not alone. You are taking the best first step by reaching out for support.

Research suggests that using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Theory are the best avenues to successfully address times of transition during the perinatal period. I incorporate both of these approaches into my practice, along with solution focused methodology. Exposure and Response Prevention Techniques may be used if you are experiencing repetitive intrusive thoughts/images that may cause you to avoid certain situations
