Hello! First, I would like to express gratitude and appreciation to you for taking the step to seek help at this time in your life. My name is Sarah, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016, and I have been practicing in an outpatient setting since then. My experience has led me to work with individuals presenting with different tribulations including (but are not limited to): anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, childhood trauma, PTSD and Complex-PTSD, LGBTQ+ concerns, body image issues, family system problems, and low self-esteem.

I hope to offer a warm counseling atmosphere, where I am grateful that you are trusting me with assisting you. My counseling style is a mix of different theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused- Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also use many mindfulness and breathing techniques to help clients stay in the present moment. I also utilize yoga exercises for the treatment of trauma, and/or various other diagnoses and symptoms such as to calm anxiety (or any other heightened emotion) down. My bottom line is, the theories and techniques that I use, are to assist you in the best way possible. If what you need is an ear to listen, I will absolutely be that ear. I will tailor this experience to your needs, so each component of therapy will be unique to you.
