Samantha Wright is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) licensed in DC and telehealth. Samantha has experience working with eating disorders at the PHP and IOP level along with comorbidities that include, OCD, depression, anxiety, trauma, and body image. Samantha utilizes a Health at Every Size approach while providing psychotherapy to her clients. Samantha draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy while utilizing a person-centered approach and creating a safe environment for her clients. Samantha has experience working with families while their loved ones are in eating disorder recovery and providing psychoeducation to family members about eating disorders. Samantha understands eating disorders do not discriminate against gender, race, ethnicity, age, or socioeconomic status. Eating disorders can impact anyone and Samantha is passionate about providing her clients with a safe place to challenge their eating disorder. Samantha received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and her master’s degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In her free time, Samantha loves to take her dog to new dog parks, read, hike, and of course, advocate and raise awareness around eating disorders.
