I am a mature (55+) woman with excellent professional training and a wealth of life experience. My Masters Degree in Social Work is from Boston University. I have been a clinician in the mental health, medical, geriatric care and hospice settings, and have had a private practice of Psychotherapy for thirty years. I also do Life Coaching. The work we do together will be customized to fit your needs.

My take on counseling is that it is, basically, a conversation, and it's all about you. You tell me what is going on for you while I listen. (My name, Samantha, by the way, happens to mean "the woman who listens.") I will probably ask you a few questions to help me understand you better. As we talk this way, using the on-line messaging system, phone, and video, you will find yourself feeling more and more clear about what is and is not working for you in your life, what you would like to change, and how best to do it. I can give you advice if you want it, and you can take it or reject it. Our shared goal is to get your life moving in a direction that will bring you greater happiness and satisfaction.

I became a counselor because I have found it to be a wonderful, personal, highly effective way to help people - including the mentally healthy and strong - to get through life's challenging times and come out the other side feeling better, happier, and encouraged about the future. I work especially well with couples who want to strengthen and improve their relationship.
