I believe that you are the master of your own life, and I believe that therapy is a joint process that we can navigate together. I am not here to judge you or tell you how you should be living. I am here to help you develop the tools and understanding needed to create the life you want and meet your long and short term goals. I have a focus centered around the LGBTQ+ community, but also specialize in working with women's issues, anxiety disorders, depression, and grief. I have worked in crisis intervention and have experience with treating substance use disorders.
I utilize a mix of Cognative Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and person centered modalities to help adults who are looking for a change in their life, looking to better understand how to cope, or looking to go through their process of healing and/or recovery.
I am not just a counselor, but also a peer. I am part of the LGBTQ+ community, and have struggled with an anxiety disorder and bouts of depressive symptoms throughout my life. I hope that my experiences can better help me to understand yours and allow me to be a positive asset to you in your journey to grow and heal.
