About

I am a Licensed Master of Social Work and Certified Advanced Addictive Disorder Counselor living and practicing in Southwest Michigan. I have had the pleasure to support people across many different populations s including addictions, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, developmentally delayed, body image, crisis intervention and adjustment to phase of life changes. I was raised in Florida where I received my Bachelor Degree in Psychology and did a lot of work with sexual violence, domestic violence and women's issues. My graduate degree is from Western Michigan University and during completion I worked with those struggling with addiction, pregnancy assistance , post par tum depression and parenting issues. I was raised in a large blended family with addiction and mental illness which both stimulated and motivated me to be in the helping profession.

In therapy I combine multiple evidence-based techniques including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy and mindfulness. It is important in my practice to achieve a balance of body, mind and spirit to establish stability and promote growth. As a therapist I respect your decision-making process, I am here to listen, summarize and help you build resilience as you face adversity. In addition, it is a focus of mine to provide an open, non-judgmental atmosphere to develop trust and honesty in the therapeutic relationship. I pride myself on honesty, loyalty and holding my clients accountable to their goals in a helpful and real way.
