Hi! My name is Samantha Boatwright and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2008 and my Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling in 2012. I have worked in the counseling field for 9 years, starting in outpatient treatment and have worked in a residential setting for the past 6 years. I entered this field as many counselors do with a true desire to help people. As I have continued in the counseling field, this desire has only grown. I continue to have a passion to get to know each individual person, and feel privileged and humbled to be able to help them change their life for the better. During my 6 years working in a women's residential setting, working with women with addiction and under the direction of a wonderful supervisor, I learned that underneath the outer things that we see (such as addiction, insecurity, low self-esteem, relationship issues, body image issues) lie some of the core issues that many humans have and can resolve if we are brave enough to be honest, open and willing. I also believe that many of our issues come from our wrong thinking, so when we choose to change and resolve those thinking errors, we can live freely and peacefully!

My goal as a counselor is to be real, genuine, honest, and to meet each person where they are. You are not alone, and all of us have things we need to talk out and resolve as we go through life! I believe we all have value and purpose, and that life has so much good to offer, and we deserve it! When we are connecting with others, when we have healthy relationships, and we are loving ourselves, we can enjoy each and every day. Every problem has a solution, and I am passionate about helping women to grow into loving themselves, finding their true self, and embracing the type of life they deserve and were created for.
