Hello! My name is Samantha Baxter and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Illinois and am also a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Iowa. I have been working in mental health for over 12 years and have experience with crisis work and outpatient counseling. I have worked with different populations include teenagers, adults, geriatrics and the past 6 years have been working specifically with Military Veterans. My experience includes working with individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, career challenges, substance use issues, and major life changes.

I use a number of techniques and will work with you to come up with the best fit to meet your goals. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I believe in treating the entire person; mind, body, and soul. I am a Christian, although I am not specifically trained in Christian Counseling I am comfortable with incorporating that into our therapy interventions as well. I will be checking my messages daily and will typically answer any of your messages in 24 hours, except on Sundays. I look forward to working with you.
