Hello! My name is Samantha and I am excited to partner with you on your journey toward mental wellness. My educational background is in sociology, psychology and religious studies. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina and spent the first few years of my career working in non-profit community development. This experience led me toward a greater compassion for mental health and wellness, specifically in communities where resources are less accessible. I have been practicing therapy for three years now, and use a client centered approach which means that I use your existing strengths in treatment to empower you toward your therapeutic goals. I am trained in EMDR, CBT and DBT modalities, and have experience working with individuals who have a history of trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders and relational issues.
