My job is to encourage you to bring out your best qualities and increase your natural ability to handle life's challenges. Many things may have caused you to go into survival mode but I can assist you in discovering the ways you can take control and find success. I will help you identify the hit or miss strategies that don't serve you in daily life and start replacing them with more beneficial alternatives. I draw from many different modalities of counseling like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and strength based approaches. My specialty is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which activates the brain's adaptive processing systems to heal from traumatic experiences.
