About
Hi there, I'm Sally! Welcome, my name is Sally Schoellkopf. I am a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist (LMFT) with over 20 years of experience, and currently working with clients in California via telehealth. I am here to help you find greater well-being, self-acceptance and resolve the issues that are preventing you from living the full and positive life that you deserve. In my private practice and other settings, including schools, hospice, bereavement and agency centers, I have counseled adults, children, adolescents, families and groups to help them gain self-awareness, new insights and create positive change. My approach Everyone is unique with their own inner strengths and capabilities. I use an eclectic approach that matches your individual needs and goals. I incorporate cognitive work, mindfulness, psychodynamic perspectives, relaxation techniques, family systems, solutions-focused therapy, and self-compassion to help you reach your goals. My focus I work with a diverse population of clients. So many people are struggling with anxiety, grief, depression, relationship difficulties, and parenting. I am here to help you with these issues. My communication style I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and empathic environment, one in which you will feel respected, heard, validated, and understood. I use active listening skills to create a sense of warmth and connection to better understand you and what brings you to counseling. I also am clear and direct to help guide you to meet your goals. My journey to therapy Being a therapist has been extremely rewarding to me. For over twenty years, I have helped my clients cope with their feelings of sadness, fatigue, anxiety, lack of self-worth, and relationship issues. I continue to be in awe of my clients as I witness their courage to grow and change and entrust me on their journey to better their lives and relationships.
