About

I have dedicated my entire career to helping others – and I truly enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories. I'm able to find common ground with nearly everyone I meet. I believe every experience a person has, whether good or bad, shapes them into the person they are today. I am inspired daily by the strength and resiliency of the human spirit. I’m committed to helping my clients find a way to transform their unique experiences into opportunities for growth and healing. In my own journey, it took me years to find a therapist who was the right fit for me. I saw, firsthand, how important the therapeutic relationship is and how finding a safe space, to explore your true self and confront limiting beliefs, really is the key. As a therapist, my approach is rooted in compassion, mindfulness, acceptance, and authenticity. I understand that mental health affects every aspect of a person’s life, from work to interpersonal relationships. I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach to help clients build a toolkit of coping skills to navigate life’s stressors. The techniques I pull from use a mindfulness approach in guiding clients to a deeper understanding of self, in order to gain insight into behaviors and relationship patterns that no longer serve them. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and use a trauma-informed approach through various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and a multitude of other techniques. I am dually licensed in the states of NC (LCMHC) and SC (Licensed Professional Counselor-LPC). I have worked across the field of community mental health in the areas of trauma, interpersonal violence, and addiction and I am comfortable working with all ages. No two people are identical…and I believe in tailoring treatment for each
