Hi, my name is Sally Monn. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Montana with almost 10 years of experience working in the Mental Health field. My master’s in social work is from the Billings, Montana campus of Walla Walla University in 2012. My client concerns include depression, anxiety, trauma, suicide ideation, grief, body image, parenting problems, career change and ADHD issues. I worked with the homeless population in a clinical setting for the past four years.

It takes a lot of courage to work on personal issues to seek a more fulfilling and happier life. It is commendable for choosing to reach for that goal. I enjoy developing a sense of rapport and connection to help people feel safe and comfortable during therapy. This allows us to get into deeper issues and confront problematic beliefs and attitudes during the healing process. People have told me I am a good listener, caring, sensitive, and positive.

Three different types of therapy are combined in my sessions to meet each person’s needs. Person centered, cognitive behavioral and solution-focused approaches are used with a warm, positive and compassionate style. I strive to help you remember your strengths, consider where behaviors may come from and help you find goals and objectives important for your healing. Respect and dignity are important in each session, and we will work at a pace that helps you feel comfortable. I am very open-minded, treat people with an unbiased attitude and very little shocks me.

As you work toward healing it is very important to be patient with yourself. Everyone heals at a different pace, and it sometimes feels that things are moving in the wrong direction. Sometimes we need to try different approaches and step outside our area of comfort to find the right path. It is important to be patient with yourself as you work toward healing, and I’ll help you stay the course.
