My name is Safiya Coles, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. I have been working as a counselor for many years and received my Masters in Social work in 2011. I have been able to work in a myriad of settings including intensive in home counseling services, group, couples and individual therapy, parenting training/counseling and youth work. As a therapist I offer a warm, non-judgmental style of therapy that works utilizing a strength based and collaborative approach. I am not here to analyze, as you are already the expert on you. I am here to help guide you to a deeper understanding so that we can reach your therapeutic goals. 
As a therapist I have helped clients gain insights into obstacles they may be experiencing including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and stress. I help clients gain perspective and resilience. With each client I will tailor sessions to your personal needs and goals. While offering a safe, open and accommodating environment. With a bit of humor to help!
