About
Hi there, I'm Sabrina! I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in California with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, anger management, and depression. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! My approach My approach to therapy can very depending on the needs of the client I am working with. I generally use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my therapy approach. CBT is structured to view challenging situations or negative thoughts and respond to them in a more effective way. CBT can help anyone learn how to better manage stressful life situations. As a therapist sometimes other therapy approaches are a better fit for the client so I may also integrate other forms of therapy techniques providing an eclectic therapy experience. My focus I work primarily with adults, teens and children. My style and approach is a good fit for dealing with challenges life may present. This includes individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and grief. I work to help my client navigate these challenges, combat negative thinking, build coping skills and provide psychoeducation. My communication style My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. My journey to therapy I decided to become a therapist because I have always wanted to help people. I have always naturally been drawn to helping people through difficult times. I enjoy seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves. My goals for you My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together.
