I am licensed psychologist in Illinois with 16+ years of professional work experience within a variety of mental health settings (e.g., group homes, in-patient, forensic) and with individuals from a wide range of cultural and geographical backgrounds. I generally focus on Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CBT/DBT) approaches while emphasizing individual strengths, the recognition of weaknesses, and improving overall communication skills.

I also believe peoples' experiences are unique and hold immense value to understanding who they want to be. I emphasize an approach which is balanced between engagement with direct therapeutic feedback and opportunities for reflection to increase my insight into your emotional experiences.

I've helped many individuals find relief and the increased long-term management of symptoms of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, addiction, and other serious mental illnesses, as well as overall general coping, relationship satisfaction, and increased comfort within their social environments. I work with people to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
