I began my collegiate career at Grambling State University in Louisiana earning an Associate’s Degree in Sociology. I would later receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Bakersfield. After seeing the need to help others in the community I attained my Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State University, Bakersfield as well. I have had the pleasure of serving my community in the Greater Los Angeles Count for the last 6 years, working with: Emergency Room Department, Special Victims Unit, as well as Department of Mental Health, and Telehealth for various companies through EAP services for the State of California. The past 6 years I have specialized in: Cognitive Behavioral Approach, Depression, Grief and Loss, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Group Treatment, Children’s Advocacy, Child Trauma, School Counseling, Behavioral modification, Suicide Prevention, and Stress Management. I believe in identifying the strengths of those I serve working towards effective coping skills to assist clients holistically.
