Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 11 years of experience in a wide variety of settings and with a wide range of populations. While I began my career working with child welfare cases where trauma and adjustment were the focus on treatment, my focus shifted over time to meet the needs of individuals in my local community. I have extensive experience in trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment, attachment, identity confusion/exploration, and emotional regulation. I have also worked with individuals with HIV, those with substance addictions, and the LGBT population. I understand that seeking assistance can be difficult and cause ambivalence and fear. Knowing this, it is my goal to provide supportive services that promote healing. I believe you are the expert on your life and situation and that ultimately you know what you need better than anyone else. Together we can work towards your improved mental health, the ability to confidently address past challenges, and equip you with the tools you need to confront current stressors as you move forward in life.

I believe that the relationship I form my with my clients is the most important part of therapy. Deciding to reach out and share your struggles with another person is not an easy decision and my job is to provide you with a non-judgmental place to share what your concerns are. I use solution focused and cognitive behavioral techniques most in my sessions which means looking at possible solutions, finding barriers to achieving goals or change, looking at thoughts that are getting in the way of moving past life difficulties, and supporting achieving small treatment goals as we work together on taking larger strides towards improved mental health.

I am excited to be a part of this platform so I can offer services to individuals that cannot seek face to face counseling for whatever reason. I strongly believe that therapy should not be out of reach for anyone and am glad you are here looking for support!
