About
It is at times difficult to name what exactly the issue is. At other times you know the exact moment your life changed. You may be tempted to go on ignoring or stuffing emotions as if bad things have not happened to you and death and loss no longer cause you pain. You do not want to burden others, but you are tired of being alone with your burdens. I strive to meet you where you are with compassionate curiosity. Working together, we build a holistic map of what it means to be you. As we build that map together, we see places in your story where you may be getting stuck or parts of the map you have never really explored. Getting unstuck involves learning and applying skills and techniques and stabilizing and strengthening your identity. I love being a therapist because each person’s story or map, is so unique. I find wonder and meaning when I witness you learning new parts of your story and becoming strong enough to offer love and compassion to yourself and others even when you experience pain.
