About
Rose is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who is working toward her independent licensure under the supervision of Virginia Agogliati, LMHC. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Washington and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University and sees individuals (13+) and families struggling with anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, self-esteem issues, and grief and loss. She is a Portuguese and Spanish speaker who carries her call with her heart by connecting with people in meaningful ways to help them to turn their experiences into self-knowledge and converge them toward a constructive engagement with the feelings, attitudes, and beliefs that are vital parts to become their best selves. Rose believes that what guides people’s life is a continuous understanding of and interpretation of their experiences, their story, where they came from, and where they are going. She integrates theoretical approaches as dynamic forces that foster clients’ perception of life challenges as an opportunity to achieve their full potential and return to a position of openness to themselves, their world, and life itself. Her practice combines different evidence-based therapeutic tools and approaches, including but not limited to, Psychodynamic, Person-Centered Therapy, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Emotion-focused, and Narrative Therapies. She blends the elements of these and other approaches to fit the needs of the individual client, considering their characteristics, preferences, needs, physical abilities, spiritual beliefs, and motivation level. She works from a holistic approach, which fosters the interconnectedness between the client’s emotional, physical, and spiritual states.
