Welcome to Find A Therapist! I'm so glad that you have found your way here, as it is the first step to feeling more hopeful about any circumstances or struggles you might be facing in your life right now.

I am licensed by the states of Texas and California as a Marriage and Family Therapist . I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Humboldt State University (2007) and a Master of Science in Counseling: Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from University of Phoenix (2013).

I work with couples, families, and individuals ages 3 and older. My areas of special interest include behavior issues, parenting, family and relationship issues, anxiety, intimacy issues, depression, grief, and trauma. I am eclectic in my therapeutic approach, meaning I use several different types of therapy (Cognitive-Behavioral, Client-Centered, Solution-Focused, Narrative) and I tailor our dialog and my approach based on the needs of each individual.

I am a strength-based provider who believes clients seek a source of hope which can be unlocked within themselves, with the right support and tools. I feel strongly about the ability for people of all ages to make important and life changing decisions when given the space to feel capable and worthy. I carry a passion for holding hope for others when they feel theirs is lost, and enjoy the rewarding career of supporting those same people in discovering this hope for themselves.

In addition to maintaining a full-time practice in Abilene, Tx., I enjoy time spent with my husband, and our three children. I look forward to working with you, and developing a relationship which will help you meet your goals and live your best life!
