I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families facing challenges ranging from crisis to the normal transitions of life. I hold a BS in Social Work from Sacramento State University as well as an MA in Couple and Family Therapy from Sacramento State University. I believe everyone has what it takes to move through the challenge’s life throws our way, but I have found that sometimes having a helper walking alongside us in support brings those strengths to light. My passion is working with the individual and support systems in order to create a united team to reduce the stress and challenges of everyday life. I have specialized training in Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Brief Solution Focused therapy. I also has some experience with Art therapy and Sand tray Therapy, Mindfulness and working with Military Families. My other focus areas include parenting issues, divorce/separation, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, substance abuse, and life transitions. I enjoy learning about my clients and working with their strengths to increase their coping skills. I am also fluent in Spanish and English. I love spending time with my family and friends, cooking, taking walks, hiking, camping and being in the present moment. I love what I do and I try my best to be kind and bring my creativeness in the work that I do.
