About

Rosalyn Fulton is a licensed professional counselor and licensed alcohol and drug clinician specializing in EMDR and brainspotting. She helps adults overcome the negative effects that stressful or traumatic life experiences have on how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. She specializes in upsetting events, trauma recovery, early relational trauma, and self-esteem matters. I work with children, adolescents, and adults on a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, overwhelm, life transitions, response to trauma, all forms of abuse, and addictions. I use a strengths-based, client-centered approach in working with clients and integrate a range of therapeutic techniques and methods to assist clients in reaching their full potential. As a trauma and addictions specialist, I believe that one must work through the pain of the past while working to address any addictive behaviors. I work creatively with empathy, compassion, and care to address the concerns of the client, walking with them through their journey of healing and/or exploration of life concerns. I help adults and children identify and resolve how their past is unconsciously coming into play in the present and causing them to not feel good enough, to feel stuck, or to repeat patterns in their career or personal life. Ultimately, I help clients find meaning in these experiences and a more authentic connection with themselves so they can have a more genuine connection with others. I lived through my own trauma as an African American girl raised in foster care with a gamut of “could've, would've, should've” and believe that everyone has the capacity for living, growing, thriving, and healing but first we have to get past SURVIVAL MODE!!! I am trained in brainspotting and EMDR to help clients move past traumatic memories and PTSD symptoms. EMDR is a unique approach to therapy and is highly recommended to anyone who is feeling hopeless and stuck in their personal journey to healing. Brainspotting is a therapy that utilizes focused meditation as a means to get to the root cause of trauma, thereby allowing healing to occur. I hope each person I meet feels the comfort of being heard, understood, and validated.
