My name is Rose and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been in the field for over 30 years. I would describe my approach in therapy as client-centered and strength-based. I utilize compassion for each client that comes in the door, on the screen, or through the telephone. I've been told by past clients that they are very comfortable during therapy sessions with me and feel much calmer as they leave. I utilize EMDR processes, cognitive behavioral therapy, music therapy, and am currently exploring how to utilize other therapies as needed. I have experience in individual therapy, group therapy, and addiction counseling. My initial focus half my career was working with addicts in jails, prisons, and private agencies. The other half of my career was focused on a variety of mental health issues working one on one with clients. I currently am passionate about working with clients struggling with traumatic life experiences, depression, and anxiety. For enjoyment in my life, I spend time with my spouse and friends, attend home group in church, and plan to restart playing a musical keyboard. When time avails itself, we like to visit family who living out of state. I am a great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother at this life stage. Therefore, I have had a lot of different life experiences. I am excited to help you along your therapy journey.
