I have been working in the mental heath field for 27 years. In that time I have worked with: troubled youth; Inpatient individuals; Federal Bureau of Prison inmates; Partial Hospital patients; couples therapy and at this time in Private practice. I am also an ordained Minister, please don't take that to mean that I am judgmental.
I have found that most people are generally doing the best that they can do and find themselves sidelined by events in their lives that are just more than they can handle alone. Sometimes those events are relational, sometimes disruptions with our jobs can be the destructive power and sometimes trauma can knock you off your path. I Practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with Mindfulness and love to work with people that feel they do not belong.
The truth I have found in my life is “All people fail and all people fall” and it always hurts someone. No matter who you are there will be a past or a future hurt that seems to stop you in your tracks.
