I'm a psychotherapist with 12 years post-graduate-school experience. I tailor therapy to the needs of individual clients and am well-versed in CBT, DBT, and a fair number of other additional modalities. I'm a good listener who is real, authentic, and genuine with my clients. Clients say my greatest strengths are compassion, understanding, and kindness - “he really ‘gets’ me”. I genuinely cares for each of my clients and do not critically evaluate or judge their thoughts, feelings, or behaviors as good or bad. I have walked many paths in life and so am not threatened by clients expressing all kinds of emotions, perspectives, and experiences. I facilitate a safe environment for a person to process their thoughts and feelings leading to insight, growth, and resolution - more happiness in life. I'm Culturally Competent Licensed Psychotherapist - especially knowledgeable of the African American and Latino Cultures in addition to my own. In working with addiction, I subscribe to the AA approaches of abstinence and higher power. Aging and Existential issues are of particular interest.
