Hello I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Alabama with 20 years experience working with children, teens and adults. I have worked with clients on a wide range of issues that includes coping with Depression and Anxiety, divorce, ODD, ADHD, mood disorders, family relationships issues, anger management, trauma/loss, foster care/adopted children issues and just needing a person to talk to about life problems to name a few examples.

My counseling style is eclectic and person centered meaning I like to form my approach on the specific needs of the individual and how their thoughts and feelings are being affected by their environment and the world around them. These negative thoughts and environmental influences can bring about negative emotions ranging from low self esteem and self doubt to feelings of low worth that are all perpetuated in a vicious cycle that can bring about self blame that needs to be addressed and broken before real change and improvement can take place. This may seem hard but is very doable and rewarding I assure you.

Talk therapy is an enjoyable experience but at the same time I know that the thought of talking to a stranger about your problems can be a worrisome feelings due to telling your problems to someone, feeling a bit vulnerable and possibly thinking you will be judged. Rest assured this is not the case, we all have had a time that we wished we had someone to talk to and help work through whatever problem you are facing. I applaud you for taking this step and know that the first step and first session will be a journey that will bring about the start of feeling better and getting back to the you that feels better and copes with problems in a much healthier way.
